During a committee / public hearing you will have an opportunity to be heard.

Filling out a Pink Slip will allow you to give them your 3 minute prepared, facts only and researched testimony.
Be sure to prepare for this as they do not like when you read from a paper – speak from your heart.

Be sure to bring enough copies for the chair and all the people on the committee (you can find this information out by reading the bill) In this handout you can include additional information they will need when reviewing this information.

If you do not want to use your First Amendment right to Free Speech, then you can sign the Blue Slip. You will sign your name, the town you are from and whether you support or oppose the bill. Even if you cannot stay for the hearing, it is so important to show up and sign these blue slips. How to Prepare for a Testimonial

You have a right to be heard. You have an opinion, you know the truth, you have had an experience and it is valuable. Don’t ever let anyone take that away from you. Say what you mean and mean what you say….just be prepared.
